Real-world examples of how my strategy, design and digital marketing services has helped businesses improve performance and drive measurable growth.
Project 09 came to MKS Digital as a newly established specialist communications consultancy with strong industry expertise, but only the beginnings of a brand and no established digital acquisition platform.
We developed that identity into a complete online presence, creating a website and digital experience designed to position the business credibly alongside much larger agencies.
The objective went beyond launching a new website. We created the wider digital strategy around generating commercially valuable enquiries through search.
This included paid acquisition, SEO foundations, campaign strategy and ongoing management, with activity focused on attracting organisations actively searching for specialist reputation and crisis communications expertise.
Paid media and the website were treated as one connected system rather than separate activities.
Campaign targeting, search intent, landing-page content, calls to action and user journeys were continually reviewed and refined to improve conversion performance and ensure advertising spend generated relevant business opportunities.
What began as a website and digital launch developed into a close working relationship lasting more than two years.
Through continued optimisation, testing and strategic management, paid acquisition achieved 7x ROAS during the first year and increased further to 10x ROAS during year two.
Delivered during the first year of paid acquisition, creating a highly efficient source of new business for a newly established specialist consultancy.
Achieved in year two through continuous campaign refinement, stronger targeting and ongoing conversion optimisation. Performance improved even further as the strategy matured.
What began as a website and launch project developed into a long-term digital partnership covering strategy, acquisition, optimisation and ongoing growth.
The engagement covered the complete digital journey, from website and SEO foundations through to paid acquisition, CRO and ongoing performance management.
While working with Karman Digital, I was part of the senior team responsible for pitching and winning the activpayroll account, before taking a leading role in delivering the project.
Working directly with activpayroll’s stakeholders, I helped shape the overall digital strategy, defining how the new website needed to better communicate the business, support users and generate stronger commercial results.
The existing website required a complete rethink of its structure and user experience.
I led the UX, information architecture and wider website strategy, restructuring how users navigated the site, how services were presented and how calls to action guided visitors towards meaningful conversion points.
My role extended across the complete redesign process, working between the client, agency and wider delivery team to ensure the strategic thinking translated effectively into the finished website.
Over approximately three months, I managed the client relationship while helping lead decisions around UX, content hierarchy, conversion journeys and the overall digital experience.
The redesigned experience produced substantial improvements across several key performance measures.
The project ultimately delivered significantly higher conversions and form submissions, while also increasing the amount of time users spent engaging with the website.
Form completions more than doubled following the redesign, demonstrating a significant improvement in the website’s ability to turn visitors into genuine enquiries.
Overall conversions increased substantially as clearer journeys, stronger calls to action and a more focused digital experience made it easier for users to take the next step.
Visitors spent considerably longer engaging with the website, suggesting the improved structure, content hierarchy and UX helped users find more relevant information.
From initial pitch and strategy through to UX, information architecture and delivery, I played a leading role throughout the complete website transformation.
Delivered while working as part of the senior team at Karman Digital.
Scumble Goosie had suffered an approximately 40% year-on-year decline in sales, with its existing WooCommerce website creating significant technical and commercial issues.
The site had become plugin-heavy, suffered malware problems and delivered a poor mobile experience, making the platform increasingly difficult to manage and limiting its ability to convert customers effectively.
Rather than repeatedly repairing the existing website, I recommended moving the business from WooCommerce to Shopify.
I led the complete ecommerce strategy, including platform planning, UX, migration, SEO preservation, conversion optimisation and project management, with the objective of creating a faster, more reliable and easier-to-manage store.
The new website was designed around a much stronger mobile shopping experience, clearer customer journeys and improved conversion performance.
Alongside the redesign, particular attention was paid to site speed, technical stability and maintaining existing organic search visibility throughout the migration.
Within approximately eight weeks of launching the new Shopify store, the previous sales decline had been recovered.
Performance has since moved beyond the previous year’s level, with sales currently tracking approximately 10–15% higher, turning a declining ecommerce channel back into a source of growth.
The previous year-on-year fall in ecommerce sales was reversed following the Shopify migration and redesign, restoring performance within weeks of launch.
Following the initial recovery, sales have continued to improve and are currently tracking approximately 10–15% above the previous comparable level.
The commercial turnaround happened quickly after launch, with the new platform recovering the previous decline within roughly two months.
The engagement covered strategy, UX, Shopify migration, SEO preservation, CRO and project management, creating a faster and more sustainable ecommerce platform.
